In 2012 Korean motorcycle maker Hyosung introduced the GT650R in India for the first time. The GT650R, launched as a midweight luxury motorcycle, continues to remain one of the world’s most successful offerings by Hyosung.

In 2013 the Hyosung GT650R underwent a major cosmetic update. The front-end has been totally restyled and now features a sleek new design which also improves the aerodynamics in general. A relatively large fuel tank that can carry up to 17 liters of fuel sits behind the new face.

The Hyosung  GT650R is powered by a 647cc, V-twin engine which produces an impressive maximum power of 72bhp at 9,000rpm and a torque of 61Nm at 7,500rpm. The liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine is known for producing punchy low to medium-range power. The bike comes in 1-down, 5-up layout with a 6-speed gearbox. 

The Hyosung GT650R is priced very highly and competes with the renowned Ninja 650R from Kawasaki.

Hyosung GT650R transfers tubeless tires mounted on elegant black alloy wheels on 120/60 17-55W front and 160/60 17-69W rear. The braking is carried out via dual front 300 mm and a single 230 mm rear hydraulic disk brakes. Inverted telescopic forks at the front and hydraulic monoshock at the rear end contribute to the suspension duties.
