Hero Xtreme 200S Speciality
1. Price is fairly enough for a bike with all these features.

Even though the Xtreme 200S isn’t having as many improvements as we might have wanted, Hero really nailed the pricing well. At Rs 98,500, Delhi’s ex-showroom, this is the country’s second most affordable motorcycle. You get a beautifully built fairing for an additional Rs 7,600 over the Xtreme 200R, a more info-laden full-digital instrument cluster and a new headlamp with LEDs
2. The good competitor to other faired bikes.

The Xtreme 200S is up against the Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 and the Bajaj Pulsar 220F. The Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 is only Rs 424 more economical than the Xtreme but comes with a smaller engine allowing much less torque and power output. On the other hand, thanks to the slightly larger oil-cooler engine, the Bajaj Pulsar 220F makes 2.53PS and 1.45Nm more than the Xtreme 200S. Yet half-faired bike by Bajaj is a whole Rs 8,028 more expensive than full-faired bike by Hero.
If you have more cash to spare, the Yamaha YZF-R15 Version 3.0 will be the only other suitable faired option. This motorcycle, priced at Rs 1.39 lakh, maybe a little pricey compared to the Hero, but it comes with far more performance from its technology-packed liquid-cooled engine and much more sporty ergonomics. (Ex-showroom Delhi, all prices)
3. Got some cool features.

In addition to the windscreen, the Hero Xtreme 200S is fitted with functional features such as a fully digital instrument cluster, headlamp LED and taillight LED. The instrument cluster was borrowed from the XPulse 200 and you get all the geeky bits like turn-by-turn navigation activated by Bluetooth, call warnings, and service reminders. What’s more, aside from standard features such as a tachometer, a speedometer, two trip meters with an average speed scale, an odometer, a petrol gauge, and a clock, the console also packs in a gear location scale.
